An Intensive Outpatient Program at Paramount Health

Paramount Health Directions is pleased to offer intensive outpatient programming to serve in stabilization and intervention prior to needing inpatient psychiatric treatment. Goals of the IOP are to reduce self-harm behaviors and suicidal ideation, increase resilience through the identification of triggers and coping strategies, promote healthy familial relationships in the home, explore identity and social supports, and address unhealthy eating and exercise patterns through education and counseling.

Treatment plans are individualized for each patient and will consist of working with our therapists, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists and a registered dietitian to promote healthy transitions and growth. Our providers meet as a team regularly to establish a course of action and discuss progress through treatment. Appropriate program duration, transition phases, and long-term monitoring are determined by providers and vary depending on needs.

Patients follow a personalized schedule based on current needs after an initial assessment. From this, length of treatment and types of therapy used will be determined on an individualized basis. In a warm and welcoming environment, our office space supports physical and emotional wellbeing, as our clinical providers collaborate to promote a spirit of self-discovery and optimum quality of life.  The number of days per week of treatment as well as full-program duration will be determined based on the professional opinion of the providers and will differ patient-by-patient.
