Lynn received her Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2007. Three years prior, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Iowa. She gained valuable experience as a Medical/Surgical nurse in the hospital setting during graduate school and loved living in Colorado so much, she stayed to pursue her nurse practitioner career.

She worked for 6 years in an outpatient endocrinology clinic where she became an expert in managing thyroid problems, diabetes, and a variety of hormone related issues. She worked extensively on weight management and counseled patients on healthier lifestyles through hormone optimization, diet, and exercise. She managed PCOS, insulin resistance, perimenopause, hypogonadism, and other rare hormone disease states. She also has advanced experience in treating with Armour, NatureThroid and Cytomel, in addition to Synthroid for thyroid hormone replacement.

She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is currently working full time in the family practice setting.

She and the PHD team feel this more complete approach can provide a multidisciplinary way for patients to get more well-rounded care and keep the mind and body well connected. By evaluating potential medical problems early that contribute to patients’ mental health issues, the focus can be on preventive medicine, treatment, and education to help patients live their best lives.

In her free time, she loves traveling with her husband and spending time with her dog. She also likes skiing, exercising, reading, and socializing with friends and family.
